The Infraction Deferral Program is offered by the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office for infraction cases. If you comply with the conditions of the program, the case is dismissed and notice of the violation is not sent to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV). Not all infractions are eligible for the program.
If you meet the eligibility requirements for the program, you will be required to sign a contract stating you will not receive another violation for the duration of the contract. The length of the contract and cost vary depending on the type of infraction. You will not be required to pay the fine for the ticket if you sign up for the Infraction Deferral Program.
To sign up the Defendant must appear in person with identification or driver’s license at the Infraction Deferral window at the address below. You are not required to attend the court date shown at the bottom of your ticket if you sign up for the Infraction Deferral Program prior to that date. If you choose to attend your court date, you may be referred to the Infraction Deferral Program if eligible.
