A Working Definition of Domestic Violence

 

Domestic Violence is any alleged criminal wrongdoing or offense which occurs between parties who have been involved with each other in terms of sexual intimacy, dating, co-habitating, marriage and/or having children together.  This includes heterosexual and homosexual relationships.  The most commonly seen crime(s) committed include, but are not limited to, the following:

 Domestic Battery

Battery (DV)

Invasion of Privacy

Interference with the Reporting of a Crime

Criminal Trespass

Criminal Mischief

Criminal Recklessness

Harassment

Pointing a Firearm

Residential Entry

Criminal Confinement

Stalking

Unlawful Possession of a Firearm

Violation of Custody Order
