The Allen County Prosecutor's Office is committed to represent victims with compassion.  Victims and witnesses look to the criminal justice system for vindication and justice, but all too often find a court system which appears to be dedicated to protecting the very people who have caused their anger and pain.  The Indiana Crime Victim's Bill of Rights was created to balance the rights of the defendant with the rights of victims.

The Allen County Prosecutor's Office Victim Notification Program was developed to respond to a victim's entitlement to information and services.  If requested, our office will provide information to victims about:

  • Case Status
  • Court Dates
  • Release of Property
  • Community Services
  • Court Accompaniment
  • Violent Crime Compensation

 
  • Plea Recommendations
  • Restitution
  • Impact Statements
  • Sentencing
  • No Contact Orders
  • Defendant's Release from Prison Information

 

If you are the victim of a felony crime that is currently being processed through the Allen County criminal justice system, you can request our assistance by completing a Request for Notification and returning it to our office by mail, e-mail or fax. You may also complete a Restitution Claim Form if you were the victim of a property or bodily injury crime in which you suffered a monetary loss.  The Court may order the defendant to repay this loss under certain circumstances.
